Goldfish Notecard Set
Just looking at these goldfish note cards makes me feel calm. I love how the design continues from the front to the back, and there’s no pithy message inside. They’re designed for the London National History Museum, and are 5 x 6 inches.

Echo Mantel Clock
ON SALE I can’t resist the Brady-Bunch vibe of this clock. It’s about 8 x8 inches, and the design makes it look as though the concentric rings aren’t connected. Rec-room-tastic.

Coral Beaded Pillows
ON SALE Tell you what, next time I have $155 to spend on a pillow, these are the pillows for me. They’re hand-beaded on cotton and have tie-back openings. Can you imagine how long it takes to make one of these? Breathtaking. As you can see, they come in cream or red with reverse-color beading. Try not to lick them when they arrive.

The Ledge Frame
Frames seem to fall mostly into two categories: boring, or kitschy. This updated, two-edged Ledge frame is different. It would make a great present if you personalized it with a photo. The frame is made of lacquered wood, a cast-aluminum base, and a glass pane. Holds 4x6 photos.

Ring Notepad
These business card-sized index cards are so darn useful. They have a hole punched on one end and are held together with a loose binder ring, so you can remove, replace and rearrange cards at will. Use them for flashcards, or keep one by the phone at work so you can flip back through for old numbers you need again. They have a plastic protective cover and come in several sizes and colors.

Japanese Maple Rug
This rug is so gorgeous, you could practically hang it on the wall. The duo-tone image of Japanese maple branches is fashioned from hand-knotted Himalayan wool. Purrr. You’ll never wear shoes inside again.

Wine Charms
ON SALE Say! These wine charms aren’t annoyingly cutesy. Wine charms are about as first world as it gets, but they’re also surprisingly useful little buggers when you have a few people over for drinks. I’ve refrained from buying any because I couldn’t stand the twee versions offered by every tourist gift store. But these are both sharp and cheap. They also come as place-card holders.

Babydoll Lamp
This is creepy at its finest. I know they’re not right for everyone, but they’re great for Halloween and for artistic sorts. They’re made by a French doll company, which uses the molds for dolls made in the 1920s. The lamps have moveable heads, arms, and legs, and at night, they come to life and try to suck the breath from your mouth as you sleep. Also comes in pink or orange.

Tivoli II Bowl Set
ON SALE These bright ceramic mixing bowls nest, which is a blessing if you don’t have much cabinet space. They’re attractive enough to double as serving bowls, but they’ll look best in the crook of one arm as you mix up a batch of chocolate chip cookies with your trusty wooden spoon. Microwave and dishwasher safe.

Watering Can
Instead of shoving your ugly plastic watering can under the kitchen sink, why not treat yourself to one that you can display alongside the plants? This brushed stainless-steel watering can is by German designer Zack. The slim spout allows for good water control when you’re caring for houseplants, but it’s the clean modern lines that make it worth the price.

Personalized Paint By Number
Here’s your chance to commission a work of art. You send in the photo of your choice, and they send you a kit by mail. The kit includes a paint-by-number replica of your photo, a set of paints, two paintbrushes, and a numbered reference guide. You can send in a picture of your sweetie, your pet, or something more subversive. The vaguely unsettling options are endless.

Covet: Nickel Couch
All right, so I don’t regularly plunk down $27,500 for a couch, but I thought you guys should see this. Artist Johnny Swing painstakingly welded 6,500 nickels to a stainless steel frame to create this beauty. That’s 35,000 individual welds for you DIYers in the crowd. Swing also works in pennies. Gives a whole new meaning to finding spare change in the couch. Ba-dum, ching.

Summer Eggshell Bowl
Wouldn’t it be pleasant if all of your everyday objects could be small works of art? The fantastic crackle effect on these Vietnamese bowls is comprised of meticulously hand-applied eggshells. The large size (11.5 inches wide) makes an ample salad bowl, or fill a smaller one with fruit for display on the breakfast table.
