Plum Blossom Doormat
Shouldn’t there be a troupe of young virgins throwing petals at your feet as you go about your day? Until you can afford to hire one, this plum blossom welcome mat will have to do.

Toro Tissue Ring
I hate, hate, hate setting out a cardboard tissue box with some awful abstract-tulip print. Who designs this crap? Do I need a windmill landscape on my tissue box? I don’t. Then again, decent tissue box covers (ones that aren’t made of shiny mauve plastic) are always too expensive to justify purchase. The Toro tissue ring is the design solution I’ve been looking for. You rip open that hideous cardboard box, remove the tissues, and set your ring on top. It’s weighted to let you pull tissues through one at a time. And it’s not ugly. Pick one up now, before they start etching daisies into the metal.

A Christmas Story: 40” Leg Lamp
Ha! Lance sent me this suggestion, and as he says, “It’s indescribably beautiful.” That’s right folks, an exact replica of the major-award lamp from A Christmas Story. Not that you have to be a fan of the movie to admire a life-sized leg lamp that lights up in two places: the bulb, and the leg itself. Whoa, mama.

European Wine Glass
I love the laid-back feel of these European wine glasses, and they make a great inexpensive hostess gift. You can stack them for easy storage, and they work for red wine, white wine, or even juice. The heavy base feels great in your hand, and the casual bistro styling is nice for a fireside glass of wine or dinner at the backyard patio table.

Nested Stacking Boxes
These gift boxes are extra convenient, and store beautifully. Throw in the present, tie on a bow, and you’re done. What’s more, they look fantastic. You can wrap a gift in under two minutes and get compliments on the job. The set comes with twelve boxes in red, blue, yellow and green. Stack them to package multiple gifts for the same person, or use them individually.

Diamond Marquise Globe
Look! The whole world is shiny and new. If you’re tired of the old blue and green grade-school globe, go with a more modern option. This globe has a muted chrome finish and a brushed steel bracket that affixes it to the black base. It’s 12 by 17 inches, and will class up your study. Spin it, pick a country, and plan your next vacation.

Aqua Serving Plates
ON SALE I’d put hunks of bread on the big plate and various cheeses on the smaller, or lay out different kinds of teabags on the small plates and use the larger for tea cookies. This versatile set of five inexpensive, hand-glazed plates makes you want to plan parties. The four smaller plates fit perfectly into the larger platter, so you can use them in that configuration or spread them out. Plus, they’re dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe. Useful, huh?
