Give It A Rest Utensils
No one replaces their wooden utensils enough. Man, those are furry. Let them go.
In other words, these make an excellent host gift.
-
Envirosax Flora Series Pouch
I saw this fun reusable shopping bag in O Magazine, but of course it was sold out by the time I got there. Then I realized you could buy a “pouch” of each design series. I got five bright bags in all the floral prints they offer, for only $5 each. (They also offer an intriguing black and white series.)
Now I can match my bag to my T-shirt at the farmer’s market, which is crucial.

USB Battery Charger
Useful Things sent us one of these, and it’s crazy useful. I have a Flip video camera that takes AA batteries, and it goes through them pretty fast. I never leave home without my laptop, so this tiny USB recharger means one less gadget wrangling for space at the single outlet in my hotel room, and one less outlet converter I have to buy so all my charge-ables will be ready to leave the room when I am.

Solar Lantern
These solar-powered lanterns have a feminine, floral feel, like big glowing camellias. I love the idea of a girly outdoor space.
-
Covered Matchboxes
You chose such a pretty candle for the bathroom, don’t put out an ugly utility matchbox. Cori Kindred chooses vintage papers and covers matchboxes by hand. Now everything is just so.

I recently had a paper straw in my milkshake at a local soda fountain. It was so pleasant, seemingly so much better for the Earth. It got me thinking about where I could get my own. Thanks, Internet.
